Heron Farm is excited to launch our very own gin, distilled with the Szechuan peppercorns that we grow on site.

The name ‘Ma La’ comes from the two Chinese characters which describe the peppercorns’ distinctive flavour – ‘numbing’ and ‘spicy’.

The smooth, warming, citrusy flavour imparted by the Szechuan peppercorns beautifully complements the subtle floral tones of bergamot and hints of melon.

Made from 100% British wheat grain spirit, the gin is distilled in small batches in a traditional copper pot still.
