Heron Farm ‘Ma La’ Gin

Distilled in Devon, our Heron Farm Ma La Gin!  A Food Drink Devon Silver Award winner in 2022.

New in 2021, our very own artisan gin, distilled with Szechuan Peppercorns grown on our farm here in East Devon.

‘Ma La’  means ‘numbing, spicy’ in Chinese, and describes the peppercorns’ distinctive flavour. Combining this with botanicals including grapefruit, bergamot, juniper, angelica root and coriander produces a unique citrusy gin with a subtle warming overtone.

Made from 100% British wheat grain spirit, the gin is distilled in small batches in a traditional copper pot still.
