Grown mostly in the UK and some US Eastern states, this is a hybrid grape suited to cooler climates while retaining high yields. It ripens early which is perfect for our climate here in East Devon and was planted specifically to allow for this aspect of the English wine making season.
It has a has a characteristic citrus element in both aroma and taste. This grape sits at the heart of our award-winning 2021 Vintage Still White wine, and our 2018 Sparkling Wine harvested here at Heron Farm Vineyard.
