Relaxed monthly evenings of wine, food and good company at Heron Farm. Join us from September as we explore a different selection of wines each month, followed by a simple seasonal set supper from the kitchen. Each month we will explore a different style, vineyard or theme through a guided tasting with a guest host. Designed to be welcoming, sociable and affordable enough to enjoy each month, these evenings are less about wine jargon and more about discovering new favourites, sharing great food and settling in for an easy evening around the table. £40 pp includes tasting samples and food menu. There will be opportunity to order any of the wines tasted should you find a new favourite!

Limited places available.

Additional drinks can be purchased on the evening.

Castlewood’s Story

From 2006 – 2009 Castlewood Vineyard emerged from a south-facing Devon hillside over looking the river Axe. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier represent three quarters of the vineyard, each responsible for Castlewood’s vintage sparkling wines. Non classic varietals represent the rest, providing fruit for blending and development of our Reserve and NV sparkling wines.

In 2016 a further 2Ha of Bacchus vines were planted. The grapes from Block HH, the steepest most exposed hillside, are used for our Devon Minnow still wine. The remaining parcels and any further pressings are used for the Artefact and still Rosé wines.

Castlewood maintain the quality from a pocket of just a few thousand vines by only picking the ripest fruit. These deliver the optimum flavour profiles for our exclusive still and sparkling wines. The vineyard is owned and managed by the Corbett Family. Throughout the growing season they meticulously tend to the vines, then call in the labour of extended family and friends for the harvest; everyone eagerly anticipates the coming vintage and their free wine as payment!
